Overview: The NORD Foundation is seeking partnership with a local consulting firm to provide assistance with the executive search process for the next CEO of the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission.
The consulting firm will work in tandem with the executive search committee which consists of seven total members including the Chair of NORDC, the Mayor or her designee, two Human Resource & Finance Committee members, a NORD Foundation designee and two community members. The Commission has put out a call for statements of interest from community members who would like to serve on the search committee. A community listening session to gather public input surrounding the qualities and capabilities of the next NORDC CEO was held on Monday July 23rd from 5-7pm in council chambers.
Proficiencies: The ideal consulting partner will have experience conducting executive search processes for multi-million dollar public and/or private agencies as well as a proven commitment to engaging community input into decision-making. Knowledge of and connections within the field of recreation, parks, youth development and human services is preferred.
· Sourcing candidates by drawing from both local pipelines as well as regional and national resources
· Candidate recruitment, applicant screening, scoring and evaluation
· Planning and implementing strategies for engaging community input throughout the process
· Ongoing liaising with the executive search committee
Timeline: A timeline of between 90-150 days is projected for this executive search process. The goal is for the new CEO to be in place towards the end of 2018 so that he/she begin in the new year.
Budget: Submissions should include a budget not to exceed $15,000.
