 The NORD Foundation is seeking passionate, community-minded leaders to serve on its Board of Directors. Board members play a critical role in supporting the mission of the NORD Foundation by helping expand recreational, educational, and cultural opportunities for residents across New Orleans.

Serving on the Board is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of youth, families, and seniors throughout the city. Board members work collaboratively to strengthen fundraising efforts, support strategic initiatives, and ensure the continued growth of programs that enrich communities through recreation.

The NORD Foundation supports the programs and initiatives of NORD by helping secure resources that make recreation more accessible and impactful. From youth athletics and summer camps to cultural programming and senior wellness activities, the Foundation helps ensure that New Orleanians of all ages have access to high-quality recreational opportunities.

As a Board member, you will help guide the Foundation’s work while contributing your expertise, leadership, and passion for community engagement.

Members of the NORD Foundation Board of Directors are expected to:

• Support the mission and vision of the NORD Foundation 
• Participate in regular board meetings and committee work 
• Assist with fundraising and donor engagement efforts 
• Serve as an ambassador for the Foundation within the community 
• Provide strategic guidance to support the organization’s long-term impact 

We are seeking individuals who are committed to strengthening communities through recreation and who bring diverse professional backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. Ideal candidates may have experience in areas such as nonprofit leadership, finance, law, marketing, community engagement, youth development, or philanthropy.
